ashley madison have an affair

LOS ANGELES, April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The future of cheating has arrived, courtesy of the world's largest infidelity dating site. In response to increased public demand for further ways to engage in discreet affairs, AshleyMadison.com launched Ashley Madison Mobile(R) allowing users with Mobile devices to "Have an Affair. Anywhere." As Ashley Madison founder, Noel Biderman, explains, "Millions have people said they would have an affair if the right opportunity presented itself. Here is their opportunity."

History has shown that cases of infidelity significantly increase as society provides people with more opportunities to cheat. The first major shift occurred when women entered the workplace, introducing them to a whole new level of freedom, as well as a whole new dating pool of men. Another major spurt resulted from the introduction of the internet and infidelity sites such as AshleyMadison.com. Now, with the launch of Ashley Madison Mobile, cheating has become easier and more progressive than ever.

chrysler news

chrysler news

NEW YORK -- A Chapter 11 filing by Chrysler is likely to cause minimal damage to the broader $577 billion leveraged loan market.

While its creditors will take a significant hit, the Chrysler loans were never broadly syndicated, which helps limit more widespread damage. Chrysler has 46 creditors, with four banks holding roughly 70% of the loans.

"It's a pretty unique situation and not a surprise in the loan market," said Meredith Coffey, senior vice president of research at the Loan Syndications and Trading Association.

Other market participants concurred, saying heavy government involvement in negotiations makes it difficult to use Chrysler as a gauge for future loan performance.

According to today's press conference, the Zodiac Killer was some guy named Guy Ward Hendrickson. Whatever. But here's where it gets good: Hendrickson allegedly took his daughter, Deborah Perez, along with him for the murders.

Perez spoke at today's press conference. Here are just a few of her wild claims.

  • During the shooting deaths, he told her the gun shots were firecrackers.
  • She stamped the envelopes containing the cryptic letters sent out to local media.

  • She embroidered the mask he wore while committing his notorious acts.

  • During a routine police stop, he stuck his gun in the back of her pants. This happened just after the 4th of July killings.

  • She also said he killed between 30 and 40 people.

google public data

Google launched a new search tool yesterday designed to help Web users find public data that is often buried in hard-to-navigate government Web sites.

The tool, called Google Public Data, is the latest in the company's efforts to make information from federal, state and local governments accessible to citizens. It's a goal that many Washington public interest groups and government watchdogs share with President Obama, whose technology advisers are pushing to open up federal data to the public.

The company plans to initially make available U.S. population and unemployment data from the Census Bureau and the Bureau of Labor Statistics, respectively. Other data sets, such as emissions statistics from the Environmental Protection Agency, will roll out in the coming months.

morris code

morris code

International code for transmitting messages by wire or radio using signals of short (dots) and long (dashes) duration, originated by US inventor Samuel Morse for use on his invention, the telegraph (see telegraphy).

The letters SOS (3 short, 3 long, 3 short) form the international distress signal, being distinctive and easily transmitted (popularly but erroneously save our souls). Its use was discontinued in 1997. By radio telephone the distress call is ‘Mayday’, for similar reasons (popularly alleged to derive from French m'aidez, help me).

There's billions of dollars of unclaimed cash out there.

Welcome to the wonderful little secret called unclaimed property: It could be an old paycheck, stock note, or inheritance that’s owed to you. When no one claims these valuables, they’re eventually turned over to a state— where they may languish for years. Most states don’t have the staff come out and find you. But if it’s there, you can find it on your own.

Again Battier drilled a 3-pointer.

Four games into their first-round playoff series, the Rockets have beaten the Portland Trail Blazers at their own game.

“(Rebounding) was No. 1 on our list of things that we had to pay attention to coming into this series,” said Battier, who had eight rebounds in the Rockets’ 89-88 victory Sunday over the Blazers in Game 4 at Toyota Center.

“Every game we have focused on limiting them to one shot. So far we’ve done a good job, but we know we have to do an even better job in Game 5.”

brandon tate

North Carolina v Rutgers

brandon tate

Tate could be a classic example of value pushed down to later levels of the draft. Were it not for a knee injury (granted, a significant knee injury in which he tore both the ACL and MCL), the consensus among the talking heads on ESPN is that the speedy, versatile Tate would've been a first-round pick.

Still, this might feed the flames of frustration for some Patriots fans about this draft. Not only are the Patriots not in need of a WR - especially not compared to their needs at linebacker - Tate also flunked the "intelligence test" and tested positive for weed at the combine. ("Intelligence test" because everybody knows they're going to be tested at the combine.) Herm Edwards et al theorize Randy Moss will become his rabbi. I say you can't just assume that.

Once again, the Patriots throw a curve in this draft. That's all well and good, but getting a linebacker at some point would probably be nice.

Turner compares himself to a Marques Colston and Keyshawn Johnson. He is a big, big dude at 6-5 and 223 pounds.

Starting 45 consecutive games before an injury forced him to miss two games his senior year, Urbik was a staple at right guard, a position he moved to and stayed at beginning in his sophomore season.

A three-time UW offensive player of the week, Urbik came back strong to play in his final five games, making a grand total of 50 career starts.

Bath Rugby face an away match at Leicester Tigers in the Guinness Premiership semi-finals after ending the regular season with victory over Saracens at The Rec. Tries from Andrew Higgins, Peter Short and Matt Banahan – plus 18 points from the boot of Ryan Davis – set up the victory over Saracens. Bath were made to fight for their win by a determined Saracens side, who tested Steve Meehan’s men throughout a frantic clash which lasted 104 minutes in total. And Bath’s reward for finishing fourth in the Premiership after the 22-game regular season is a repeat of this season’s Heineken Cup quarter-final away at the Walkers Stadium.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu both make this year’s cover. Uh oh, we remember what happened to “supposed” curse-proof Brett Favre. So does this mean the Steelers should draft another safety and should the Cardinals keep Anquan Boldin?

Gospel legend Rev. Timothy Wright has passed away. He was 61 years old. He was affectionately known to most of us as “The Godfather Of Gospel.” He was the Pastor of Grace Tabernacle Christian Center COGIC in Brooklyn, NY, but was probably best known for his long list of choir hits like “Come Thou Almighty King,” “We Need A Miracle,” and most recently “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.” For those of us who grew up in church over the last 20 years, you probably heard or had to sing one of his songs on a regular basis.

Most of you probably remember that Pastor Wright suffered a really bad car accident on July 4, 2008 in Pennsylvania where his wife Betty Wright and grandson D.J. Wright were both killed. They were returning from a COGIC convention in Detroit, MI.

We send our prayers and thoughts to the Wright family as well the Grace Tabernacle Christian Center COGIC church family. Feel free to leave your condolences in the comments section.

caltech earthquake

caltech earthquake
Washington, DC—The most powerful earthquakes happen at the junction of two converging tectonic plates, where one plate is sliding (or subducting) beneath the other. Now a team of researchers, led by Teh-Ru Alex Song of the Carnegie Institution's Department of Terrestrial Magnetism, has found that an anomalous layer at the top of a subducting plate coincides with the locations of slow earthquakes and non-volcanic tremors. The presence of such a layer in similar settings elsewhere could point to other regions of slow quakes. Slow earthquakes, also called silent earthquakes, take days, weeks, or even months to release pent-up energy instead of seconds or minutes as in normal earthquakes. The research is published in the April 24th issue of Science.

The scientists analyzed 20 years of seismic data for southern Mexico, where the Cocos plate is slipping beneath the North American plate. "We can tell a lot about the material inside the Earth by the speed, strength, and interferences of different seismic waves," explained Song. "Typically, P-waves are the fastest, followed by scattered waves associated with variations in seismic wave speed within the medium. We used local observations recorded within 100 to 150 miles to map the structures at the top of the subducting plate."

perfectly blind lyrics

perfectly blind lyrics

My wide eyes, straight with red lines
Visions of me and you
Shattered in a day like broken glass
Perfectly blind, (said I'm perfectly blind)
Perfectly blind, (please somebody help me)
Perfectly blind, (I need an answer)
Perfectly blind, perfectly
Mind is worn, heart is torn
Violently craving
A Substitute for you, (a substitute)
These eyes see darkness
These eyes see through
These eyes are begging
These eyes are you
Perfectly blind,( perfectly blind)
Perfectly blind, (Oh)
Perfectly blind, I don't know what I'm gonna do right now
Perfectly blind, (Said I am)
Would you take me as I am?
I'm just a scarred man
These hands need your guidance
Take me past my circumstance

ignoramus

ignoramus

Look at these two buddies clasping hands as if they’re old friends. I guess Obama forgot already that Hugo called him an ignoramus and refers to him as “the black man”, something that would probably get me a Secret Service visit if I said it. It was less than a month ago that Chavez called President Obama an ignoramus for mentioning that Chavez exports terrorism;

That’s how we treat tin pot dictators these days, though. It’s been proven that this sort of treatment never comes back to bite us in the ass, hasn’t it? Look at the time we helped Saddam…oh, never mind. And when we gave the Canal to Panama…forget I said that. OK, all the help we supplied Stalin during WWII…oh, wait. Well, we helped the Afghans boot the Soviets…damn. Hmmm, well there must be an incident that proves stroking our enemy paid off. Isn’t there?
Well, I’m sure Chavez will rethink his support of regional terrorist groups after that dap with Obama. If he doesn’t, Obama can do what seems to be the popular solution in Latin America among it’s leaders these days; go on a hunger strike like Chavez' acolyte Evo Morales, the cocaine farmer turned President of Bolivia;

the phone

the phone
"The Phone," a new reality show premiering tonight on MTV, is a treasure hunt dressed up in the clothes of an action film — a clue leads to a puzzle, which yields to a clue, which leads to a puzzle, which leads to a clue, which leads to a test, which leads to a prize. While not a million miles away from shows like "The Mole" or "The Amazing Race," it is more insistently cinematic: a phony reality meant to look like a real film.

In tonight’s opener, the superimposed narrative concerns a "mad bomber" the players must locate and stop; the city of Seattle is the game board. (The title refers to the cellphone by which the four players receive the instructions — from Irish actor Emmett J. Scanlan as the Operator — that propel them through the game.) It’s good fun and exciting as intended.,

katmai fishing boat

katmai fishing boat

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- The U.S. Coast Guard released dramatic rescue video on Friday from the Bering Sea, as crews airlifted four surviving members of the fishing vessel Katmai. The vessel sank early Wednesday morning.

Four out of the 11 crew members survived, five died, and two are still missing.

The Coast Guard and the Alaska Air National Guard held a press conference Friday to update the search efforts and for some to re-live the rescue.
Petty Officer Dave Coats recalled his role in saving the lives of the four surviving members of the fishing vessel.

"They all pointed to one guy that was on top of the life raft and said, ‘He's going, he's worse' and others said, ‘No, you're worse,'" Coats said.
A marine board has been established to find out what went wrong on the ship, the Coast Guard said.

"The vessel has sunk. Exactly where that took place has not been determined, but according to the master, he did witness the vessel sink below the surface," Coast Guard Capt. Mark Hamilton said.

meteor shower

meteor shower

Earth is entering a stream of debris from Comet Thatcher, the source of the annual Lyrid meteor shower.

Forecasters expect the shower to peak on Wednesday, April 22nd, with a display of 10 to 20 meteors per hour over the northern hemisphere.

Occasionally, Earth passes through a dense region of the comet's tail and rates surge five- to ten-fold. In 1982, for instance, observers were surprised by an outburst of 90 Lyrids per hour.

Because Thatcher's tail has never been mapped in detail, the outbursts are unpredictable and could happen again at any time.

The best time to look, no matter where you live, is during the dark hours before dawn on Wednesday morning April 22nd.

It would appear that a signficant scandal is brewing at Louisville, with Rick Pitino having reported an extortion attempt to the FBI. Here’s what we know now: Fox’s Jeff Goodman reported that the alleged extorter is a woman named Karen Sypher, who is married to the Louisville equipment manager, Tim Sypher.

This wasn’t challenged by her attorney, Thomas Clay,to discuss the situation and was quoted as saying this:

“There is a federal investigation going on, and there may be criminal charges placed against her as a result of what coach Pitino has brought to the attention of the FBI. . . There are no counter allegations, and as far as I am concerned this criminal investigation is going to proceed to a logical conclusion and I hope that we can put this matter behind us as quickly as possible.”

Based on what has been suggested so far, it might not be that quick.

It’s also interesting (although it could certainly be unrelated) to learn that Pitino’s son has left the Louisville program and taken a job with Billy Donovan at Florida.

What do you think of the No. 1 company on the Fortune 500 list this year? Should it be No. 1? Have you worked for the company, or bought its products? Has the recession affected your opinion of big companies? Tell us what you think. The best replies will be published here, and possibly in a future story on CNNMoney.com.

XOM is a company that is very careful in making large long term and short term investments and it provides an excellent level of returns to its stockholders.
People with long term investment objectives have been able to put their children through college based on their holdings and returns of their investment in XOM.
There is a lot of “irrational” and “ignorant” comments about the company. Perhaps people are “jealous” that they have not been able to reap the benefits from this company.
To Anonymous: A company buying crude oil at premium prices will not be able to make the profits posted by XOM. Try to learn a little about the oil business and what “PREMIUM PRICES” mean.

The problem with Exxon is not the exploitation of the American system, but is the American system itself. We shouldn’t allow America’s largest corporation to ignore its obligations to pay off the settlements from the Exxon-Valdez crash, more than 20 years ago. Why wasn’t that mentioned as a possibility to spend their 300 billion dollar cash pool?

Exxon is a well run company who has forethought 10 years into the future. Get educated and get involved with good companies, make a good living and quit crying when you are left behind. This is America and capitalism, please quit crying about big companies that provide many good high paying jobs. There are many 100k jobs in Houston, come on down.

fairy godmother of radio

fairy godmother of radio
Called “The Fairy Godmother of Radio,” Nila Mack was a children’s programming pioneer who captivated the imagination of young America for almost a quarter of a century. After many years acting in vaudeville and on Broadway, Mack discovered her métier later in life. She was the much-beloved creator, writer, producer, and “directress” of the CBS children’s program Let’s Pretend, which ran from 1934 to 1954. This critically acclaimed radio show presented weekly adaptations of classic fairy tales, from Hans Christian Andersen to the Brothers Grimm. “We were deep in the depression when [Let’s Pretend] began…I remembered fairy stories that filled me with wonder when I was very young. I figured that if these lively pieces with a message at their hearts had meant so much to me, other children would like them, too.” Beyond the compelling stories, Mack made the unprecedented decision to cast the series with child actors rather than adults, allowing them to play both the young and mature characters. Former “Let’s Pretender” Arthur Anderson praised her talents: “Besides Nila Mack’s scripts, her genius for choosing and working with her juvenile cast was the main reason the show survived longer than any other dramatic program on American radio.” And popular culture critic Ross Care has cited the series as “one of the most enduring and highly lauded radio programs for children ever broadcast.”

Born Nila Mac in Arkansas City, Kansas, on October 24, 1891, she was an only child. Her mother, Margaret, was a dance instructor, while her father, Don Carlos, was a railroad engineer who died in a train accident when Nila was a little girl. In later years she recounted that her family always encouraged her “beyond endurance. In brief, spoiled me.” She displayed an early interest in the performing arts, appearing regularly in local talent shows throughout her childhood. After her father’s death, she went on to an Illinois finishing school, Ferry Hall in Lake Forest, and later supplemented her education with classes in both Arkansas City and Boston. To finance her
tuition and expenses, Mac played piano at her mother’s dance studio. Her first “real” job in show business was acting in a traveling repertory company where she met and married fellow actor Roy Briant. During this time, she added the “k” to the end of her last name, reportedly because she thought “Mac” looked too much like a nickname. She continued to work steadily in vaudeville, eventually being employed for six years by the famed Nazimova company. With the troupe, she appeared on Broadway in Fair and Warmer and A Doll’s House, as well as the play and film versions of War Brides (1918). After her husband of thirteen years died, Mack remained in New York, taking acting jobs and writing for such other comediennes as Nydia Westman and Fanny Brice. Mack said in one interview, “Broadway prepared me for radio.” She was first cast on CBS’s Radio Guild of the Air, an experimental series that eventually became the renowned “highbrow radio” show Columbia Workshop. Mack also acted on a CBS comedy, Nit Wits, and scripted a series, Night Club Romances, that she also narrated.

In 1930 Nila Mack abruptly returned to Arkansas City to look after her ailing mother and took a job directing the local radio station. After only six months, CBS offered Mack the chance to take over its floundering children’s program, The Adventures of Helen and Mary. She was surprised by the network offer and thought, “You think I could? Me? A childless widow?”

Mack moved back to New York and began to thoughtfully retool the struggling program. Close friend and longtime cast member Gwen Davies reported that in the beginning, Mack “was terrified about working with children, because she never had any.” Despite this “handicap” Mack had a definite vision for the show and children’s programming in general. She immediately changed the casting policy; she realized, according to actor-turned-historian Anderson “how much better would be a cast of child actors, who could convey much more than grownups the openness, innocence and simplicity she wanted for the show.” She auditioned, trained, and nourished a quality company of child actors, some of whom would stay with the program for the most of its twenty-year run on CBS. After the initial cast changes, the show was retitled Let’s Pretend. The company of child actors, often called “the Let’s Pretenders,” became the trademark of the show, and some kids, including Gwen Davies and Sybil Trent, became leading players and fan favorites.

In addition to casting, Mack also changed the content of the series. She was responsible for bringing to air three hundred fairy tale adaptations along with some original stories, all filled with fantasy and mythical characters. Jon Swartz and Robert Reinehr noted in The Handbook of Old-Time Radio, “For years sponsorship was avoided, in the belief that 'radio’s outstanding children’s theater' should not be identified with a commercial product.” Later Cream of Wheat became the show’s sole sponsor. The program was so popular, as well as respected by parents and critics, that it was once broadcast by special request from a children’s hospital. On another occasion, Mack and the Let’s Pretenders received a police escort to Penn Station so they could make a train to Atlantic City for a special remote performance. The series received numerous awards during its long run, including two Peabody Awards, a Women’s National Radio Committee Award, and five Radio Daily Awards.

Because of the critical success of Let’s Pretend, CBS appointed Mack director of children’s programming. Anderson stated that as the director of CBS Children’s Programming, “Nila Mack was . . . a lone woman in a man’s world.” Her office on the fourteenth floor of the CBS building in New York was down the hall from such radio legends as Edward R. Murrow, Norman Corwin, and William S. Paley. Her skills as a “directress” were praised by many children who later became adult actors. Former cast member Larry Robinson declared that “Nila being a woman, was not doing the big nighttime shows that the men directors were doing, there were a couple of women in daytime radio directing soap operas and there was Nila Mack with this children’s program. I think today a director of this talent, man or woman, would have been involved in the biggest television shows, movies, stage and what have you. She was absolutely marvelous.”

In a 1952 interview an upbeat Mack observed, “These twenty two years have gone by awfully fast. I feel we’re just beginning. I hope I’ll be doing this for a long time, right down to the day I die.” In 1953, at the age of 62, Nila Mack suffered a heart attack and passed away in her Manhattan apartment. Let’s Pretend lasted one more season without her direction. Mack’s singular vision and commitment to the craft of children’s programming had, according to Anderson in the dedication of his chronicle Let’s Pretend: A History of Radio’s Best Loved Children’s Show, “brought joy to a generation of children and raised the standards of American radio broadcasting.”

Liz Hatch Interview with CycleTo

In a CycleTo exclusive, Hatch talks about her reasons for posing for Maxim...what it was like on the day of the shoot...and how she will deal with the heat she expects to get.

CycleTo: How did all of this come about? How did Maxim first contact you?

Hatch: The two guys who run New York VeloCity forwarded me an email from a cyclist who works as an art director at Maxim. He told me that they were going to do a "Women in Sports" layout, featuring several different sports and several different women, and I was one of their choices.

We went back and forth for a while on the details...what it would actually entail, would I have any control over the pictures and what their ideas were. They sent me a storyboard and it seemed pretty interesting. I have to admit that it appealed to my vanity.

CycleTo: When you first heard of the opportunity, what was your gut reaction?

Hatch: I kind of had a mixed reaction. Personally, I don't have a moral issue with something like this, it doesn't spin my moral compass in the wrong direction, but I also had to look at it from the standpoint of being an athlete and wanting to be taken seriously. But on the other hand, it was a good opportunity. So yes, I had pros and cons on both sides.

CycleTo: So, you go to New York for the the photo shoot with Maxim. What had they told you about preparation and what to bring to the shoot?

Hatch: I had a few long conversations with Kelly Stuart, the photographer, and she asked me to bring my kit and my shoes. And Adam Vincent from BH Bikes had three bikes shipped to New York for the shoot. So when I got there, they were completely put together and go. I also took a bunch of Vanderkitten stuff, and them Maxim provided a bunch of outfits when I got there.

CycleTo: The outfits that they suggested...did you get approval, did you reject anything? What was the general feeling of what they were presenting to you?

Hatch: I got there at about 8:00am, and they immediately did my hair and makeup, which took about two hours. Then they took me into a room that had a huge table full of outfits, probably 30 different outfits. It took probably two hours to try them on, and decide what would end up in the shoot. There were a few things that I looked at and said, "No, I don't think so...this doesn't quite go." Some of it I just wasn't crazy about, but most of the stuff was great.

CycleTo: Was there anything that you looked at and said, "Oh, no...I'm not gonna do that"?

Hatch: Yeah, they had a fishnet top. I'm not a fisherman.

CycleTo: So you pick the outfits, and they go the first of the setups...what was the first one?

Hatch: We had a whole floor of an office building that was empty, just the pillars an the windows, and nothing else. It was pretty cool. The first was was a portrait photo in an old window, it had pipes around it kind of framing it. But I'm not super photogenic...yes, I have a huge forehead, I know that...so the first pictures were probably going to be throwaway pictures just to get comfortable, and for me to stop being so self-conscious.

CycleTo: So, what was the next setup that was less portrait and more posing?

Hatch: Remember that ad with Tom Boonen with his helmet, and he's naked from behind? We did that, but I had bottoms on. It's a behind shot with my helmet...and big hair. But it's just my back. I can't wait to see how that turns out.

We’ll have to all watch and see what happens there, but in the meantime, Taylor plays a tape for Steffy which reveals Rick gloating about his fiancée never quitting her ride on the ‘Rick Train!’ Will this finally be the moment Ridge and Taylor have been waiting for?

Jackie and Owen negotiate the terms of their deal and then seal it with a kiss. So the romp that follows is apparently just a bonus! Jackie then makes an odd request of her new lover, but assures a confused Owen she knows what she’s doing.

The Bold and the Beautiful, created by the late daytime drama legend William J. Bell and his wife, Lee Phillip Bell, is currently written and executive produced by William and Lee’s son, Bradley P. Bell, who took over the reins of B&B from his father, becoming head writer in 1993, and then executive producer in 1995.

“Twenty-two years on television has been an extraordinary collaborative accomplishment,” said Bell. “The show has now taped over 5,500 episodes and is viewed in more than 100 countries around the world. That is a testament to our remarkable cast, production crew, writers and staff, and of course to CBS, who continues to give us their unwavering support. My greatest thanks goes out to our viewers, for their continued loyalty and devotion.”

UK The Bold And The Beautiful will become only the second US soap to broadcast on the video-sharing website, following in the footsteps of sister soap
