First Credit Union is committed to improving financial literacy among kids and
communities. To that end, we introduced our “Imagine the Possibilities” College Scholarship Program in 2008 and awarded $500 college scholarships to six members graduating from high school in 2009 who will be attending a full-time course of higher education study this fall. Along with this program, we also introduced our Youth
Financial Education Grant Program and awarded $250 each to three Arizona educators
to help fund youth financial education programs at their schools. First Credit Union is
a proud partner of Junior Achievement of Arizona and sponsors the financial institution
at their second JA BizTown learning experience for fifth and sixth grade students.
Through this sponsorship First Credit Union is able to reach out to nearly 10,000
Arizona elementary students.
