Kraig Urbik, a versatile experienced four-year starter, became the third Badgers selected on Sunday's Day Two of the NFL Draft when the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers selected him with the 79th pick.
As the first Badger freshman to start at tackle since former All-American Chris McIntosh in 1996, Kraig Urbik was something special from the beginning for the UW offensive line. Starting 45 consecutive games before an injury forced him to miss two games his senior year, Urbik was a staple at right guard, a position he moved to and stayed at beginning in his sophomore season.
A three-time UW offensive player of the week, Urbik came back strong to play in his final five games, making a grand total of 50 career starts.
